Notifications, background tasks, automatic synchronization or alarms do not work correctly for “Auto Message” on Android 10?


  1. Open the “Settings” of your device.
  2. Choose “Apps”.
  3. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  4. Tap on “Auto Message”.
  5. Choose “Battery”.
  6. Next to “Allow background activity”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  7. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  4. Tap on “Auto Message”.
  5. Choose “Battery”.
  6. Tap on “Optimize battery usage”.
  7. In the drop-down list at the top, switch from “Apps not optimized” to “All”.
  8. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  9. Next to “Auto Message”, make sure the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left.
  10. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  2. Choose “Apps”.
  3. At the top right, tap on ⋮ (three dots) to open the expanded menu.
  4. Tap on “Special access”.
  5. Choose “Optimize battery usage”.
  6. In the drop-down list at the top, switch from “Apps not optimized” to “All” or “All apps”.
  7. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  8. Next to “Auto Message”, make sure that the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left.
  9. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  4. Choose “App power management”.
  5. Tap on “Apps that won’t be put to sleep”.
  6. If “Auto Message” is in the list of apps, there’s nothing left for you to do. Otherwise, proceed with the next step.
  7. At the bottom, tap on “Add apps”.
  8. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  9. Next to “Auto Message”, put a checkmark into the checkbox.
  10. At the bottom right, tap on “Add”.
  11. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. Tap on “Memory”.
  4. At the bottom, choose “Select apps to exclude”.
  5. At the bottom, tap on “Add apps”.
  6. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  7. Next to “Auto Message”, put a checkmark into the checkbox.
  8. At the bottom right, tap on “Add”.
  9. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  4. Tap on “Auto Message”.
  5. Choose “Mobile data”.
  6. Next to “Allow background data usage”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  7. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  2. Choose “Device care”.
  3. Tap on “Battery”.
  4. Choose “App power management”.
  5. Choose “Sleeping apps”.
  6. If “Auto Message” is not in the list of apps, there’s nothing left for you to do. Otherwise, proceed with the next step.
  7. At the top right, tap on the trash icon.
  8. Next to “Auto Message”, put a checkmark into the checkbox.
  9. At the bottom right, tap on “Remove”.
  10. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  4. Tap on “Auto Message”.
  5. Choose “Mobile data”.
  6. Next to “Allow app while Data saver on”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  7. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  4. Choose “Power mode”.
  5. Next to “Adaptive power saving”, make sure the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left.
  6. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  2. Choose “Device care”.
  3. Tap on “Battery”.
  4. Find the “Power mode” section.
  5. If it says “Optimized”, there’s nothing left for you to do. Otherwise, proceed with the next step.
  6. If it says “Medium power saving” or “Maximum power saving”, proceed with the next step.
  7. Tap on “Power mode”.
  8. Select “Optimized”.
  9. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  4. Tap on “Advanced”.
  5. Next to “Optimize settings”, make sure the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left.
  6. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  4. Tap on “Auto Message”.
  5. In the “App settings” section, find “Notifications”.
  6. Tap on “Notifications”.
  7. At the top, next to “Show notifications”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  8. At the bottom, next to “App icon badges”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  9. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  4. Tap on “Auto Message”.
  5. In the “App settings” section, find “Permissions”.
  6. Tap on “Permissions”.
  7. Scroll down to the “Denied” section.
  8. If there are no entries in the “Denied” section, there’s nothing left for you to do. Otherwise, proceed with the next step.
  9. Tap on an entry in the “Denied” section.
  10. Select “Allow”.
  11. Go back by pressing ◁ (“Back”) at the bottom of your device.
  12. Repeat this for all entries in the “Denied” section.
  13. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. Tap on “Battery”.
  4. Choose “App power management”.
  5. Next to “Adaptive battery”, make sure the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left.

  7. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  1. There are many apps on the app store which claim to boost performance, free up space, save battery, or optimize the RAM of your device. However, these apps interfere with other apps, like “Auto Message”, and prevent them from working correctly.
  2. If you have any app like “Clean Master”, “Security Master”, “Task Manager”, “Phone Cleaner”, “Super Cleaner”, “Power Clean”, “DU Cleaner”, “DU Speed Booster”, “CCleaner”, “AVG Cleaner”, “Avast Cleanup” or “Norton Clean”, check that it doesn’t block or terminate “Auto Message”.
  3. If unsure, consider uninstalling the app claiming to “clean” or “boost” your device.
