Notifications, background tasks, automatic synchronization or alarms do not work correctly for “Auto Message” on your Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt?


  1. Open the “Settings” of your device.
  2. Choose “Apps”.
  3. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  4. Tap on “Auto Message”.
  5. Choose “Battery”.
  6. Next to “Allow background activity”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  7. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  1. Open the “Settings” of your device.
  2. Choose “Apps”.
  3. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  4. Tap on “Auto Message”.
  5. Choose “Battery”.
  6. Tap on “Optimize battery usage”.
  7. In the drop-down list at the top, switch from “Apps not optimized” to “All”.
  8. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  9. Next to “Auto Message”, make sure the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left.
  10. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  2. Choose “Apps”.
  3. At the top right, tap on ⋮ (three dots) to open the expanded menu.
  4. Tap on “Special access”.
  5. Choose “Optimize battery usage”.
  6. In the drop-down list at the top, switch from “Apps not optimized” to “All” or “All apps”.
  7. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  8. Next to “Auto Message”, make sure that the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left.
  9. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  5. Tap on “Allow app while Data saver on”.
  6. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  7. Next to “Auto Message”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  8. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  4. Choose “Power mode”.
  5. Next to “Adaptive power saving”, make sure the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left.

  8. At the bottom, next to “App icon badges”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  9. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. Tap on “Accounts”.
  4. At the bottom, next to “Auto sync data”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.

  3. Make sure that “Power mode” is turned off (gray).

  4. Next to “Show notification icons”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  5. Below, make sure that “All notifications” is selected.

  7. Tap on “Power mode”.
  8. Tap on the selected entry again.
  9. Next to “Restrict background data”, remove the checkmark from the checkbox.
  10. At the bottom, tap on “Apply”.
  11. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  9. Further down, next to “Optimize settings”, make sure the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left.
  10. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  10. Next to “Auto Message”, put a checkmark into the checkbox.
  11. At the bottom right, tap on “Remove”.
  12. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  6. If “Auto Message” is in the list of apps, there’s nothing left for you to do. Otherwise, proceed with the next step.
  7. At the very bottom, tap on “Add”.
  8. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  9. Next to “Auto Message”, put a checkmark into the checkbox.
  10. At the bottom right, tap on “Add”.
  11. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  4. Tap on “Auto Message”.
  5. Further down, in the “App settings” section, find “Permissions”.
  6. Tap on “Permissions”.

  5. Check if “Auto Message” is already in the list. If it’s in the list, there’s nothing left for you to do. Otherwise, proceed with the next step.
  6. At the very bottom, tap on “Add apps”.
  7. Find “Auto Message” in the list of apps.
  8. Put a checkmark into the checkbox next to “Auto Message”.
  9. At the very top, press “Done”.
  10. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  7. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  5. If “Auto Message” is not in the list of apps, there’s nothing left for you to do. Otherwise, proceed with the next step.
  6. At the top right, tap on ⋮ (three dots) to open the expanded menu.
  7. Choose “Delete apps”.
  8. Delete “Auto Message”.
  9. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  4. Tap on “Auto Message”.
  5. Further down, in the “App settings” section, find “Notifications”.
  6. Tap on “Notifications”.

  8. Further down, next to “App icon badges”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  9. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  8. Next to “Background network usage”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  9. At the bottom, tap on “Apply”.
  10. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. Tap on “Accounts”.

  10. At the very top, choose “Apply”.
  11. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  1. There are many apps on the app store which claim to boost performance, free up space, save battery, or optimize the RAM of your device. However, these apps interfere with other apps, like “Auto Message”, and prevent them from working correctly.
  2. If you have any app like “Clean Master”, “Security Master”, “Task Manager”, “Phone Cleaner”, “Super Cleaner”, “Power Clean”, “DU Cleaner”, “DU Speed Booster”, “CCleaner”, “AVG Cleaner”, “Avast Cleanup” or “Norton Clean”, check that it doesn’t block or terminate “Auto Message”.
  3. If unsure, consider uninstalling the app claiming to “clean” or “boost” your device.
